Lessons from "The Bachelorette" JoJo - Week 2

So many options this week!

1 - It is possible to drink too many protein shakes (most of them)
2 - Musicals are best left for the theater.  Constantly singing to your date just makes it awkward for everyone (James)
3 - If everyone hates a guy you like, that should be a red flag (Chad)
4 - Bubble baths are always a good choice (Christian)
5 - Making the choice to speak kindly about an ex on national TV or in a private conversation says a lot about a person (Derek)
6 - Accusing a girl of nagging doesn't make us want to kiss you (Still Chad)
7 - Forcing the kiss and making it awkward will just get you sent home (Will)
8 - saying it is a gift to watch another guy do pull-ups (Chad) makes us think you are on the wrong TV show (Bachelor Super Fan)

"I'm not even that determined..."

How many time do I have to say "no"?

(Edited for length and to make the screen shots fit, I told him that we just talked earlier in the week and it got really busy after that)

First Message Fails - That escalated quickly

I always wonder what reaction they expect when a guy sends messages like this.

Let's take a vote! - Tipping Etiquette

Let's say you take a girl on a date to a full service restaurant, your waitress is on point, after sitting there for an hour and a half, the total bill for both of you (story coming soon) comes to $6.94.

How much would you tip?

Send me a message or post a comment!

I Want to Marry You Cookies

My friend just came across this recipe, maybe I will have better luck if I start making these for everyone I date!

View the original post, she has funny notes: I want to marry you cookies

1 cup butter
1 cup dark brown sugar (may add up to 1/4 cup more if desired)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 cups flour
1 cup uncooked rolled oats
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup white chocolate chips
1 cup chocolate chips (dark is recommended)

DIRECTIONS
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until melted. Remove from the heat.
Add the dark brown sugar and granulated sugar and stir until sugars are incorporated and smooth. Chill the mixture for 10 minutes.
Remove from the refrigerator and stir in the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla.
Add the flour, oats, baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and cinnamon and mix together.
Stir in the white chocolate chips and chocolate chips.
Roll by hand into 24 medium-size balls or use a scoop, and place on a light-colored cookie sheet.
Chill for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
Remove the cookies from the refrigerator and bake for 12 to 14 minutes.

Lessons from "The Bachelorette" JoJo - Week 1

1 - Always check under the beard/mustache/mask
2 - Guys can be just as catty (or worse) as girls
3 - If you are going on reality TV, you should watch old episodes first
4 - Dont trust the guy who gets naked on the first night
5 - guys who dump their girlfriends to go on reality TV are definitely not there "for the right reasons"

Don't be a Serial Killer... or a Stalker

Continuing with his overbearing attempts to contact me, this was in my Facebook messages.   He might thing girls look high maintenance but I the over zealous attempts to contact me makes him look controlling.

Hi! My name is (Guy's name here). I saw your profile online... and being a "sleuth", I found you on Facebook. Normally, I wouldn't dare try to contact someone "out of the blue" like this, but since I saw your LinkedIn profile and your recruiting experience... I'm hoping that you'll just see this as part of my "due diligence"?
smile emoticon (It wasn't hard to find you with a first name, picture, and city location - exactly what most recruiters would do for a cursory online search, right?)

First, I think you are naturally beautiful and stunning! It's the kind of beauty that makes a guy be relaxed and comfortable with you. (Some of these dating profiles make me wonder how much some of these women spend in make up and what they're trying to hide? Makes them look like they're "high maintenance" or something.)
Anyway, I hope I didn't completely freak you out by contacting you like this, but I wanted to reach out and see if we could start a conversation?
I look forward to chatting with you and even being Facebook friends, if you're open to it.
Chat with you soon, I hope.
